Introduction - Tongue in Cheek!

INTRODUCTION  TO THE NAKED RAMBLER STEPHEN GOUGH
The idea of creating "The Prisoner's Blog" came to me when I was listening to a BBC Radio Four programme on Woman's Hour about Parent Bloggers. One female parent claimed to have over 60,000 readers a month viewing the blogs about her daily activities with her small children and she had even managed to attract advertisers who paid her some money to plug their products. Another parent blogger, a househusband, said he had over 10,000 viewers a month and yet another parent blogger wrote articles about his teenage children and had even written a book about them which was available to download on Kindle.
That got me thinking. Would anyone be interested in following a blog about The Naked Rambler Stephen Gough and his Prison Letters? Stephen Gough is currently on remand in Winchester Prison awaiting trial for breaching his ASBO conditions that forbid him to walk around naked in a public space. His trial is tomorrow, September 11th (9/11) on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the twin towers in New York.

The latest letter from Stephen discusses prison food, his new BBC Documentary being reviewed here in Time Out ( http://www.timeout.com/london/tv-reviews/the-naked-rambler ), his philosophy on naked rambling and why he thinks it is so important for him to walk past schools naked at chucking out time.

  • "Parent Bloggers:The Early Years"

"According to a recent survey by Brit Mums, Britain’s biggest collective of parent bloggers, a record number of people in the UK are blogging about their children. 50% of so-called ‘mumbloggers’ have children aged 2 or under and about 5% of parenting blogs are now written by dads. Tim Atkinson, a stay-at-home Dad who writes the award-winning blog ‘Bringing Up Charlie’ and Alice Harold, whose blog‘More Than Toast: surviving single motherhood without becoming an alcoholic’,  join Jane Garvey to discuss why they blog, whether they earn any money from it and how they cope with the competitive world of parent blogging."
